Helpful Moonbeams Festival Information For You!
It’s almost time to pack away the desk and bid work goodbye to head to the Wolds for a weekend of music, ale, and happiness.. with a bit of sunshine too.. Yep… it’s Moonbeams Time!
There will be plenty of signs directing you to the site, on approach roads – just look out for the “Moonbeams Festival” signs.
The best Sat Nav postcode to use is YO25 3HS – but a map to hand is also advised!
We are Halfway between Hunmanby and Wold Newton, on the road from Burton Fleming to Fordon.
THE BIG SKY at Night! ( Midnight – 2am)
After the events on the Main stages- join us in the Big Sky Marquee for some choice acoustic sets to finish off the night!
Hosted by Rob Fearnley
In this delightfully atmospheric ‘wind-down’ zone you can listen to – and no doubt join in with – some great sounds en-route to the campsite. Many festival headliners have been known to drop in and perform at these sessions so look out for the odd surprise…..
There will be a session running in the Big Sky Marquee on Friday & Saturday afternoon… So.. for songs and tunes.. head there!
The Big Sky Marquee is positioned at the top of the camping field!
The Big Sky Campsite, named after the famous ‘Big Skies’ of the Yorkshire Wolds, that inspired David Hockney’s ‘A Bigger Picture’ is where you’ll pitch camp for the weekend. We are very lucky to have two camping fields – one for campervans and caravans… and one for tents.
Basic camping it may be, as there are no showers available on site, but it’s a lot of fun and full of friendly folk.
However, there is security, first aid, lovely loos, a fresh water tap and some of the most beautiful views of the Yorkshire Wolds.
The campsite will open 9.00 am Friday until 10 pm (no admissions after 10 pm). It will then reopen 8.00 am Saturday morning.
When you arrive you will be greeted by the lovely Dickie and his campsite crew, who will assist you to park and see you to your camping pitch. People in tents will be asked to unload onto their allocated pitch and then move their cars to the car park on the adjoining field.
Please use camping space sparingly and sensibly.
On arrival at the festival site, please show your tickets and display your camping pass in the front window of your vehicle.
You need a camping pass to gain access on to the camping field!
(Your camping car sticker is best applied wet, simply peel off the backing and either spray water or dip in a bowl of water then place in position.. the water allows re-positioning, then use something like a credit card to squeegee out the excess water, being careful not to damage the sticker.. then leave to dry! Hope this helps!)
All vehicles when moving on site… Please use your hazard lights and drive DEAD SLOW! This is very important!!!
No Barbecues or fires! No Chinese lanterns!
